Savannah, GA – March 14, 2006 -- Life Systems, Inc. (Savannah, GA) has announced that it has received a contract from Beverly Enterprises, Inc. (Ft. Smith, AR) to supply all 342 Beverly nursing homes with its hospital quality, state of the art Rosie II Automated Vital Signs Monitors.

After an extensive evaluation was conducted, the Rosie II Vital Signs Monitor was selected over competitors for its superior capabilities and flexibility to grow with the needs of the Beverly facilities nursing homes. The monitor rollout began March 1st 2006 and will continue through mid 2006 with the addition of an electronic data transfer component. This phase will allow for resident vital signs data to be transferred to Beverly's clinical software via its Citrix network. Beverly operates 342 skilled nursing facilities, as well as 18 assisted living centers, and 67 hospice and home care centers. Its subsidiary, Aegis Therapies, Inc. provides rehabilitative services on a contract basis. In addition to the Rosie II Vital Signs Monitor, Life Systems distributes a broad line of disposable medical supplies to its 1200+ long term care facility clients under its Nurse Rosie product line. You will receive (3) BP cuffs at no charge. One adult small, one adult medium and one adult large

How many lines of information can the Rosie II monitor hold in memory?
Rosie holds up to 400 lines of vital sign information. When her memory is full, the 401st line of information will replace the oldest line in memory, or line one.

How long does the Rosie II’s battery hold a charge?
Rosie’s battery will hold a charge for 6 hours when fully charged.

What kind of warranty does the Rosie II monitor come with?
If purchased, the Rosie II comes with a 5 year warranty. If Rosie is leased or joins your staff through our Tech Pak program, she is under warranty as long as you are on either of these programs. Extension cables, hoses, power cords, BP cuffs and batteries are not included under the warranty. Oral and rectal probes as well as pulse oximeter finger sensors are under warranty for the first (90) days.

What do I without my Rosie II while she is being repaired?
Don’t worry! We will provide you with a replacement part or Rosie within 2 business days if you are having repairs.

Accurate and Comfortable Blood Pressure
Higher than necessary inflation pressure wastes time and causes unnecessary discomfort. The Rosie II Vital Signs Monitor uses a Smart Inflation feature that automatically adjusts to the individual’s mmHg requirements minimizing “squeeze”. The Rosie II Vital Signs Monitor also includes a patented Dynamic Linear Deflation feature designed to measure each pulse and instinctively deflate at a rate consistent with the patient’s heart rate as recommended by the AHA.

Patient ID Entry System (with optional Bar Code Scanner)
With the Rosie II Vital Signs Monitor, you can eliminate chances of human error by retrieving measurement data history by patient name or ID directly from the monitor. The Rosie II Vital Signs Monitor conveniently stores and organizes patient history by name and ID number, so that you can easily retrieve important information and eliminate chances of human error. Just key in the name or ID before the initial test and the patient’s name can be located for future testing – or, take advantage of the optional bar code scanner. Trend history and accurate documentation is now as easy as hitting the scroll button.

Interval Blood Pressure Monitoring
When situations occur that require frequent testing, you can program the Rosie II Vital Signs Monitor to automatically take blood pressures at the frequency you indicate. If a test result falls outside of set parameters, an alarm will alert staff.
